I recently got the chance to try out the Victron Energy Inverter VE.Direct Control Panel, and I’m pretty impressed. It’s a small, but mighty device. It lets you keep a close eye on your Victron inverter. I used it with my back-up power supply system. This system powers some essential things in my house. Think LED lamps, cell phone chargers, and even my wife’s hair dryer (though not all at the same time!). The panel itself is easy to understand. It shows you important information about your batteries and the power they supply. I like how clear the display is. It’s much better than trying to guess what’s going on with my system. I didn’t need any special tools, just a small screwdriver. I was a little worried about working with the stranded wire. But it turned out to be easier than I thought. The panel has an on/off/remote switch. This gives me good control over my inverter. I can even monitor the performance of my system. I can see how much power I’m using and how much is left in my batteries. I feel much more confident knowing what’s happening with my back-up power.
