I bought the Cantonape 1000W car inverter to power my electronics on the road. Admittedly, after reading some negative reviews, I was a little nervous. But then I realized that a lot of the problems seemed to be related to how people were wiring the inverter.
Here’s the thing: For this inverter to work properly, you really need to use high-quality wiring. Some reviews mentioned people having issues with standard car lighter plugs not being able to handle the power. Instead, I went with a good quality audio amplifier wiring kit. This kit uses thicker wires that can handle more current, and that solved all my problems. I also grounded the inverter twice for extra stability, and used a longer (8-foot) power cable.
